Honours Recital

The Scholarship and Honours Recital is sponsored annually by the Alberta Registered Music Teachers' Association to honour promising music students who have done well in their most recent examinations. The recital also recognizes students who are considered by their teachers to have outstanding talent. Scholarships are awarded for keyboard, voice, strings, woodwinds, brass, guitar and accordion. This recital offers a wonderful opportunity for these talents young people to perform and the audience to hear them.

Scholarships are available for students who achieved the highest marks in grade categories in keyboards, voice, strings, woodwinds, brass, guitar and accordion. These students, as well as those designated by their teachers as outstanding students, will, at the discretion of the Honours Recital Committee, perform at the Honours Recital. Students who achieved the highest marks in each category in their current examinations will be presented with a scholarship.

Calgary ARMTA teachers of all the above disciplines are urged to submit to the Honours Recital Committee the names of both their outstanding students, and those who achieved high marks in their current examinations. This recital offers a wonderful opportunity for all these young musicians to perform and to share their love of music with their friends, families and peers.
